My dad has lived in the same place for the last 50 years.

I have lived here for the better part of my 30 years.

My (extended) family still deem this to be their spiritual point of origin.

We have a mailing list named after this very same place.

I unconsciously refer to this place whenever anyone asks me where I am from.

My dad has decided to shift out from here in the next couple of months.

Will it revert to being just a house after that?
